Wichita firm wins extension on emergency lodging contract Posted: 16 Jun 2010 07:32 AM PDT BY JERRY SIEBENMARKThe Wichita EagleCorporate Lodging Consultants said it has received an extension on its contract with the federal General Services Administration to provide emergency lodging services and support during national catastrophes and emergencies. The Wichita-based division of FleetCor said it has won a blanket purchase agreement from the GSA to provide services for about a year, beginning Sept. 7, with four, one-year options. The company holds the current agreement with the GSA and has since it was awarded in 2005. During hurricanes Katrina and Rita, Corporate Lodging provided lodging services for more than 700,000 people. Through the contract, Corporate Lodging negotiates contracts with hotels and motels at managed rates and handles reservations and billing.
