| FelCor Lodging completes $98.5M hotel purchase Posted: 19 Aug 2010 02:38 PM PDT On Thursday August 19, 2010, 5:38 pm EDT IRVING, Texas (AP) -- Hotel owner FelCor Lodging Trust Inc. said Thursday it completed the purchase of the Fairmont Copley Plaza hotel in Boston for $98.5 million. The real estate investment trust bought the property from an affiliate of Fairmont Hotels & Resorts and funded the acquisition with cash on hand. Fairmont will continue to manage the hotel under a long-term contract. The REIT plans to spend $20 million to renovate the 383-room historic hotel. Shares of the FelCor fell 24 cents, or 5 percent, to close Thursday at $4.59.
